Pinna 1.0.1 and Custom Hot Keys

Pinna 1.0.1 is now out in the Mac App Store. This update address the ’sandbox’ dialogues, crash on launch, and other miscellaneous issues. We’ve also added custom hot keys support. Please update your copy if you’ve already purchased Pinna. If you haven’t, you can buy Pinna for only $4.99 on the Mac App Store!

To set up your custom hot keys go into the ‘Hot Keys’ pane of Pinna’s preferences and set the short cuts you’d like for ‘Play/Pause’, ‘Next Track’, and ‘Previous Track.’ You can also still use the keyboard playback keys by installing PlayKeys (Download).

Update on Sandbox Bug: Build in Testing

Quite a few people have had issues playing music due to a bug with Pinna and Apple’s new sandboxing requirements. A bugfix build is being tested among a select few who reported the issue. We are looking to submit the update early this week. It also contains other fixes and new features.

In 2006 Kevin and I met on the Cocoaforge forums and in the late spring of 2007, we started working on the first iteration of Pinna. Today, we are happy to announce the Pinna will be live on the Mac App store this Thursday, February 23, for $4.99. We want to thank all of our beta testers and everyone who has been incredibly patient and supported us to this point. This is only the beginning with many more exciting things to come.
